It is noteworthy that this Patient underwent ERCP one month ago in another centre with plastic stenting of the CBD, but the stent was slipped from the CBD with recurrent jaundice and ascending cholangitis.

The message is that ERCP is known to be valuable for biliary drainage for treatment of ascending cholangitis, and also it could be valuable for gallbladder drainage and treatment of empyema of the gallbladder by wire guided cannulation of the cystic duct and gallbladder with gallbladder drainage
